In Tuesday's non-league test, the Putnam County Panthers (Granville, IL) basketball squad trounced the visiting Newark Norsemen (Newark, IL), by a score of 71-30.
Next, the Panthers clash with the Roanoke-Benson Rockets (Roanoke, IL) in a Tri-County test, on Thursday, January 16. Putnam County will attempt to improve on its 5-16 season record. The Rockets come into the test with a 17-3 record after their 52-32 league win over Dwight (Dwight, IL).
The Norsemen (0-16) will now prepare for their test against Parkview Christian Academy (Yorkville, IL). The Falcons come into the non-league test with a 4-9 record. In their last test, Parkview Christian Academy was routed by Somonauk/Leland (Somonauk, IL), 36-20, in a non-league test.
