The Newman Grove/St. Edward Panthers basketball squad (Newman Grove, NE), was crushed 58-36 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Osmond Tigers (Osmond, NE)

With the victory, Osmond advances its record to 2-9 on the year. The Tigers host Stuart (Stuart, NE) to meet the Broncos in a non-league battle on Thursday, January 16. The Broncos enter the battle with a record of 10-3. Stuart won 47-42 in their recent league battle against Chambers/Wheeler Central (Chambers, NE)

The Panthers now own a 1-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Heartland Lutheran for a non-league battle on Thursday, January 16. Newman Grove/St. Edward will meet a Red Hornets squad coming off a 45-34 non-league win over Franklin (Franklin, NE). The Red Hornets record now stands at 5-8.
