The Pickering Red Devils basketball squad (Leesville, LA), was nudged 48-47 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Sulphur Golden Tors (Sulphur, LA)
With the victory, Sulphur advances its record to 16-2 on the year. The Golden Tors travel to Sam Houston (Lake Charles, LA) to meet the Broncos in a 5A District 3 battle on Friday, January 17. The Broncos enter the battle with a record of 8-12.
The Red Devils now own a 13-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Beauregard for a 2A District 4 battle on Friday, January 17. Pickering will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 52-6 league win over DeQuincy (DeQuincy, LA). The Trojans record now stands at 8-9.
