California High School Basketball - Ponderosa holds off Burbank

January 15, 2022: Sacramento, CA 95823

Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Ponderosa Bruins (Shingle Springs, CA) and the host Burbank Titans (Sacramento, CA), saw Ponderosa's basketball squad hold off Burbank by a tally of 78-74.

With the victory, Ponderosa improves its record to 18-0 on the campaign. The Bruins host Lincoln (Lincoln, CA) to confront the Fighting Zebras in a Foothill Valley challenge on Tuesday, January 18. The Fighting Zebras come into the challenge with a record of 13-2. Lincoln won 65-64 in their recent league challenge against Nevada Union (Grass Valley, CA)

Next up, the Titans confront the Grant Pacers (Sacramento, CA) in a Metropolitan Conference challenge, on Monday, January 17. Burbank will attempt to improve on its 11-3 season record. The Pacers come into the challenge with a 13-2 record after their 71-55 non-league win over Fortune Early College (Sacramento, CA).
