    In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Southeast Whitfield County Raiders basketball team scored a tight 74-69 triumph over the Fannin County Rebels.

    In their next game, the Raiders face the Northwest Whitfield Bruins (Tunnel Hill, GA) in a AAAA Region 7 match, on Friday, January 21. Southeast Whitfield County will attempt to move on its 7-10 season record.

    With the defeat, Fannin County moves to 5-10 on the year. The Rebels host Pepperell (Lindale, GA) to face the Dragons in a AA Region 7 match on Tuesday, January 18. The Dragons enter the match with a record of 5-10. Pepperell won 59-53 in their recent non-league match against Woodland (Cartersville, GA)
