Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Panther Valley Panthers (Lansford, PA) and the visiting Hamburg Hawks (Hamburg, PA), saw Panther Valley's basketball squad wallop Hamburg by a tally of 59-30.
With the victory, Panther Valley improves its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Lehighton (Lehighton, PA) to play the Indian in a Schuylkill County 1 challenge on Monday, January 17. The Indian come into the challenge with a record of 5-10. Lehighton won 45-29 in their recent non-league challenge against Northwestern Lehigh (New Tripoli, PA)
Next up, the Hawks play the Antietam Mountaineers (Reading, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 20. Hamburg will attempt to improve on its 3-7 season record. The Mountaineers come into the challenge with a 12-1 record after their 71-36 non-league win over Annville-Cleona (Annville, PA).
