In Sunday's non-league outing, the Chicago Marshall Commandos (Chicago, IL) basketball squad edged the visiting Proviso West Panthers (Hillside, IL), by a margin of 77-74.
The Commandos (9-7) will now prepare for their outing against Proviso East (Maywood, IL). The Pirates go into the non-league outing with a 14-2 record. In their last outing, Proviso East held off Willowbrook (Villa Park, IL), 77-69, in a league outing.
The Panthers now own a 6-10 record. They play next when they travel to Nazareth Academy for a non-league outing on Saturday, January 21. Proviso West will clash with a Roadrunners squad coming off a 50-42 league loss to Marian Catholic (Chicago Heights, IL). The Roadrunners record now stands at 6-13.
