In Sunday's non-league outing, the Okolona Chieftains (Okolona, MS) basketball squad nipped the visiting East Webster Wolverines (Maben, MS), by a margin of 68-62.
The Chieftains (7-11) will now prepare for their outing against Hamilton (Hamilton, MS). The Lions go into the 1A Region 4 outing with a 6-9 record. In their last outing, Hamilton was tipped by Houlka (Houlka, MS), 55-52, in a league outing.
The Wolverines now own a 6-5 record. They play next when they travel to Choctaw County for a 2A Region 4 outing on Friday, January 20.
