Kentucky High School Basketball - Lexington Catholic can't hold off Mason County

The Mason County Royals basketball team scored 40 points and held the host Lexington Catholic Knights to 39 in the Royals non-league triumph on Sunday.

The Royals now sport a 17-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pendleton County for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 17.

The Knights (15-2) will now prepare for their contest against Paul Laurence Dunbar (Lexington, KY). The Bulldogs enter the District 43 contest with a 4-10 record. In their last contest, Paul Laurence Dunbar was nudged by Madison Southern (Berea, KY), 91-90, in a non-league contest.
