The Barbe Buccaneers (Lake Charles, LA) basketball knocked off the visiting Northside Vikings (Lafayette, LA), 66-48 in Sunday's non-league test.
The Buccaneers (16-3) will now prepare for their test against Southside (Youngsville, LA). The Sharks go into the non-league test with a 10-6 record. In their last test, Southside notched a victory over Sam Houston (Lake Charles, LA), 46-34, in a league test.
The Vikings now own a 5-4 record. They play next when they travel to Hathaway for a non-league test on Monday, January 16. Northside will encounter a Hornets squad coming off a 66-56 league win over Midland (Midland, LA). The Hornets record now stands at 18-4.
