The Farrell Steelers basketball team (Farrell, PA), was toppled 69-54 in Sunday's non-league battle with the visiting Shenango Wildcats (New Castle, PA)
The Wildcats now possess a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sewickley Academy for a WPIAL 2A 1 battle on Monday, January 16. Shenango will confront a team coming off a 48-30 league loss to South Side (Hookstown, PA). The record now stands at 5-7.
The Steelers (2-9) will now prepare for their battle against Mercer (Mercer, PA). The Mustangs come into the District 10 Region 1 battle with a 7-5 record. In their last battle, Mercer beat Slippery Rock (Slippery Rock, PA), 41-26, in a non-league battle.
