Park Ridge Owls (Park Ridge, NJ) backers were in high spirits Sunday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Westwood Cardinals (Washington Township, NJ), 41-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Park Ridge upgrades its record to 5-6 on the season. The Owls host Newtown (Newtown, CT) to clash with the Nighthawks in a non-league bout on Monday, January 16. The Nighthawks go into the bout with a record of 6-2.

Next up, the Cardinals clash with the Pascack Hills Broncos (Montvale, NJ) in a Big North - Patriot bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Westwood will attempt to upgrade on its 8-4 season record. The Broncos go into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 34-26 non-league win over Bergen Tech (Hackensack, NJ).
