The Varsity Opponent (, ) basketball nipped the visiting Western Reserve Academy Pioneers (Hudson, OH), 51-48 in Sunday's non-league test.
The (90-289) will now prepare for their test against Start (Toledo, OH). The Spartans go into the non-league test with a 11-1 record. In their last test, Start got by Waite (Toledo, OH), 75-16, in a league test.
The Pioneers now own a 6-5 record. They play next when they travel to Dublin Coffman for a non-league test on Monday, January 16. Western Reserve Academy will encounter a Shamrocks squad coming off a 65-51 league win over Hilliard Bradley (Hilliard, OH). The Shamrocks record now stands at 11-2.
