The J.H. Rose Rampants (Greenville, NC) basketball nipped the visiting Beddingfield Bruins (Wilson, NC), 46-45 in Monday's non-league test.

The Rampants (8-6) will now prepare for their test against Havelock (Havelock, NC). The Rams go into the 3A/4A Big Carolina test with a 3-8 record.

The Bruins now own a 10-3 record. They play next when they travel to Goldsboro for a 2A Neuse test on Wednesday, January 17. Beddingfield will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 48-45 non-league win over Kinston (Kinston, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 12-2.
