With the win, Booker T. Washington upgrades its record to 9-3 on the season. The Mighty Bookers host Maury (Norfolk, VA) to play the Commodores in a Eastern bout on Wednesday, January 17. The Commodores go into the bout with a record of 10-3. Maury won 52-46 in their recent league bout against Norcom (Portsmouth, VA)

Next up, the Pirates play the Gates County Red Barons (Gatesville, NC) in a 1A Four Rivers bout, on Wednesday, January 17. Perquimans will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record.
