Georgia High School Basketball - Groves knocked off by Evans

January 15, 2024: Garden City, GA 31408

The Evans Knights basketball team scored 83 points and held the host Groves Rebels to 75 in the Knights non-league triumph on Monday.

The Knights now sport a 9-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Glynn Academy for a AAAAAA Region 2 contest on Friday, January 19. Evans will meet a Terrors team coming off a 69-43 league win over South Effingham (Guyton, GA). The Terrors record now stands at 16-3.

The Rebels (6-9) will now prepare for their contest against Johnson (Savannah, GA). The Atomsmashers enter the AAA Region 3 contest with a 10-6 record. In their last contest, Johnson ran past Hart County (Hartwell, GA), 63-53, in a non-league contest.
