The Griggs County Central/Midkota Cougars basketball team scored 47 points and restricted the visiting Kidder County co-op [Steele/Tappen] Pirates to 38 in the Cougars non-league victory on Monday.
The Cougars now sport a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Warwick for a B District 4 contest on Thursday, January 18. Griggs County Central/Midkota will battle a Warriors team coming off a 82-32 non-league win over Mandaree (Mandaree, ND). The Warriors record now stands at 3-9.
The Pirates (0-5) will now prepare for their contest against Barnes County North co-op [North Central/Wimbledon-Courtenay] (Rogers, ND). The Bison come into the non-league contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, Barnes County North co-op [North Central/Wimbledon-Courtenay] prevailed over Enderlin (Enderlin, ND), 66-47, in a league contest.
