With the victory, Westlake upgrades its record to 8-7 on the campaign. The Lions host East Coweta (Sharpsburg, GA) to play the Indians in a AAAAAAA Region 2 challenge on Thursday, January 18. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 8-7. East Coweta won 78-62 in their recent non-league challenge against Hampton (Hampton, GA)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Woodward Academy War Eagles (College Park, GA) in a AAAAAA Region 3 challenge, on Thursday, January 18. Jonesboro will attempt to upgrade on its 10-8 season record. The War Eagles come into the challenge with a 14-4 record after their 71-63 non-league win over Seckinger (Buford, GA).
