With the victory, Springfield Southeast improves its record to 5-14 on the campaign. The Spartans host Manual (Peoria, IL) to play the Rams in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 9-9.

Next up, the Crusaders play the Edinburg Wildcats (Edinburg, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 19. Lutheran will attempt to improve on its 8-11 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 12-11 record after their 70-53 league loss to Nokomis (Nokomis, IL).
