Salesian Mustangs (Los Angeles, CA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host South Gate Rams (South Gate, CA), 55-47 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Salesian upgrades its record to 10-11 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Bishop Amat (La Puente, CA) to play the Lancers in a Camino Real bout on Wednesday, January 17. The Lancers come into the bout with a record of 18-5. Bishop Amat won 62-55 in their recent league bout against Paraclete (Lancaster, CA)

Next up, the Rams play the Garfield Bulldogs (Los Angeles, CA) in a Eastern bout, on Wednesday, January 17. South Gate will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 14-2 record after their 59-46 non-league win over Millikan (Long Beach, CA).
