    • Georgia High School Basketball - Walnut Grove topped by Banks County

    January 15, 2024: Walnut Grove, GA 30052

    The Banks County Leopards basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the host Walnut Grove Warriors to 54 in the Leopards non-league victory on Monday.

    The Leopards now sport a 14-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Providence Christian Academy for a AA Region 8 contest on Tuesday, January 16. Banks County will battle a Storm team coming off a 56-22 non-league win over Lanier Christian Academy (Flowery Branch, GA). The Storm record now stands at 13-3.

    The Warriors (8-7) will now prepare for their contest against Cherokee Bluff (Flowery Branch, GA). The Bears come into the non-league contest with a 14-3 record. In their last contest, Cherokee Bluff prevailed over East Forsyth (Gainesville, GA), 63-35, in a league contest.
