The Camarillo Scorpions (Camarillo, CA) basketball crushed the visiting Monte Vista Monarchs (Spring Valley, CA), 80-33 in Monday's non-league test.

The Scorpions (16-5) will now prepare for their test against Oak Park (Oak Park, CA). The Eagles go into the Coastal Canyon test with a 10-7 record. In their last test, Oak Park walloped Moorpark (Moorpark, CA), 69-21, in a league test.

The Monarchs now own a 8-11 record. They play next when they host Helix for a Grossmont - Hills test on Tuesday, January 16. Monte Vista will encounter a Highlanders squad coming off a 60-25 non-league win over Academy of Our Lady of Peace (San Diego, CA). The Highlanders record now stands at 12-4.
