The Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers basketball team (Philipsburg, PA), was overwhelmed 59-23 in Monday's league battle with the visiting Central Dragons (Martinsburg, PA)
The Dragons now possess a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bellwood-Antis for a Laurel Highlands battle on Wednesday, January 17. Central will confront a Blue Devils team coming off a 55-51 league win over Tyrone (Tyrone, PA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 9-5.
The Mountaineers (1-11) will now prepare for their battle against Chestnut Ridge (New Paris, PA). The Lions come into the Laurel Highlands battle with a 7-7 record. In their last battle, Chestnut Ridge was overwhelmed by Bishop McCort (Johnstown, PA), 66-28, in a league battle.
