Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the De Soto Pirates (De Soto, WI) and the visiting Iowa-Grant Panthers (Livingston, WI), saw De Soto's basketball squad overcome Iowa-Grant by a tally of 57-45.
With the victory, De Soto improves its record to 8-5 on the campaign. The Pirates host Ithaca (Richland Center, WI) to confront the Bulldogs in a Ridge & Valley challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 7-5. Ithaca lost 50-36 in their recent non-league challenge against Highland (Highland, WI)
Next up, the Panthers confront the Mineral Point Pointers (Mineral Point, WI) in a Southwest Wisconsin Activities challenge, on Thursday, January 18. Iowa-Grant will attempt to improve on its 5-9 season record. The Pointers come into the challenge with a 11-2 record after their 50-34 league win over Darlington (Darlington, WI).
