The Dirigo Cougars (Dixfield, ME) basketball nipped the host Kents Hill School Huskies (Kents Hill, ME), 38-33 in Monday's league test.

The Cougars (2-6) will now prepare for their test against Spruce Mountain (Jay, ME). The Phoenix go into the non-league test with a 8-2 record. In their last test, Spruce Mountain got by Hall-Dale (Farmingdale, ME), 44-35, in a non-league test.

The Huskies now own a 0-7 record. They play next when they travel to Mount Abram for a C South test on Thursday, January 18. Kents Hill School will encounter a Roadrunners squad coming off a 54-21 league loss to Madison (Madison, ME). The Roadrunners record now stands at 4-5.
