Marietta Blue Devils (Marietta, GA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Gainesville Red Elephants (Gainesville, GA), 71-25 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Marietta upgrades its record to 14-4 on the season. The Blue Devils travel to North Paulding (Dallas, GA) to play the Wolfpack in a AAAAAAA Region 3 bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Wolfpack go into the bout with a record of 15-4. North Paulding won 44-32 in their recent league bout against Hillgrove (Powder Springs, GA)

Next up, the Red Elephants play the Jackson County Panthers (Jefferson, GA) in a AAAAAA Region 8 bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Gainesville will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 3-13 record after their 46-40 league loss to Shiloh (Snellville, GA).
