Mayfield Cubs (Pasadena, CA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting La Puente Warriors (La Puente, CA), 46-3 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Mayfield upgrades its record to 12-6 on the campaign. The Cubs travel to Rio Hondo Prep (Arcadia, CA) to play the Kares in a Prep bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Kares come into the bout with a record of 11-6. Rio Hondo Prep won 58-28 in their recent league bout against Chadwick (Palos Verdes Peninsula, CA)

Next up, the Warriors play the Garey Vikings (Pomona, CA) in a Miramonte bout, on Wednesday, January 17. La Puente will attempt to upgrade on its 1-12 season record. The Vikings come into the bout with a 15-4 record after their 78-43 league win over Ganesha (Pomona, CA).
