Ohio High School Basketball - Marion Local can't hold off Waynesville

The Waynesville Spartans basketball team scored 45 points and held the host Marion Local Flyers to 40 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Monday.
The Spartans now sport a 15-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Oakwood for a Southwestern Buckeye - Buckeye contest on Thursday, January 18. Waynesville will battle a Lumberjacks team coming off a 55-40 non-league loss to Northridge (Dayton, OH). The Lumberjacks record now stands at 9-5.
The Flyers (11-3) will now prepare for their contest against New Bremen (New Bremen, OH). The Cardinals enter the Midwest contest with a 6-7 record. In their last contest, New Bremen was nudged by Wilmington (Wilmington, OH), 36-29, in a non-league contest.
