Georgia High School Basketball - Newton thwarts Millington Central

January 15, 2024: Covington, GA 30014

The Newton Rams (Covington, GA) basketball knocked off the visiting Millington Central Trojans (Millington, TN), 58-43 in Monday's non-league test.

The Rams (10-8) will now prepare for their test against Parkview (Lilburn, GA). The Panthers go into the AAAAAAA Region 4 test with a 11-8 record. In their last test, Parkview notched a victory over Woodland (Stockbridge, GA), 49-41, in a non-league test.

The Trojans now own a 9-8 record. They play next when they host Craigmont for a 3A District 15 test on Tuesday, January 16. Millington Central will encounter a Chiefs squad coming off a 43-27 league loss to Brighton (Brighton, TN). The Chiefs record now stands at 4-10.
