Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the La Mirada Matadores (La Mirada, CA) and the visiting St. Paul Swordsmen (Santa Fe Springs, CA), saw La Mirada's basketball squad knock off St. Paul by a tally of 50-41.

With the victory, La Mirada improves its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Matadores travel to Mayfair (Lakewood, CA) to play the Monsoons in a challenge on Wednesday, January 24. The Monsoons come into the challenge with a record of 11-11.

Next up, the Swordsmen play the St. Anthony Saints (Long Beach, CA) in a challenge, on Wednesday, January 17. St. Paul will attempt to improve on its 12-6 season record.
