Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Selkirk Rangers (Ione, WA) and the host Newport Grizzlies (Newport, WA), saw Selkirk's basketball squad overcome Newport by a tally of 49-37.

With the victory, Selkirk improves its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Rangers travel to Columbia (Hunters, WA) to confront the Lions in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 19. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 3-4. Columbia won 29-21 in their recent non-league challenge against Curlew (Curlew, WA)

Next up, the Grizzlies confront the Riverside Rams (Chattaroy, WA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Newport will attempt to improve on its 8-4 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 44-31 non-league win over Deer Park (Deer Park, WA).
