Maryland High School Basketball - Chopticon nips McDonough

In Wednesday's league contest, the host Chopticon Braves basketball team scored a close 61-58 win over the McDonough Rams.

The Braves (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against Thomas Stone (Waldorf, MD). The Cougars come into the Southern Maryland contest with a 3-7 record. In their last contest, Thomas Stone was tipped by Huntingtown (Huntingtown, MD), 68-56, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Rams battle the Patuxent Panthers (Lusby, MD) in a Southern Maryland contest, on Friday, January 17. McDonough will attempt to better on its 6-4 season record. The Panthers come into the contest with a 1-9 record after their 78-33 league loss to Westlake (Waldorf, MD).
