The Northwest Catholic Lions (West Hartford, CT) basketball edged the visiting Holy Cross Crusaders (Waterbury, CT), 54-53 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Lions now possess a 9-1 record. They play next when they host Windsor for a non-league bout on Friday, January 17. Northwest Catholic will play a Warriors team coming off a 83-45 non-league win over Farmington (Farmington, CT). The Warriors record now stands at 7-3.
