In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host Stephenson Eagles basketball team scored a close 70-63 triumph over the West Iron County Wykons.
The Eagles (11-3) will now prepare for their contest against Norway (Norway, MI). The Knights go into the non-league contest with a 9-3 record. In their last contest, Norway nipped Florence (Florence, WI), 94-50, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Wykons confront the Forest Park Trojans (Crystal Falls, MI) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, January 16. West Iron County will attempt to better on its 0-11 season record. The Trojans go into the contest with a 10-1 record after their 46-31 league win over North Central (Powers, MI).
