The Edgewood Lions basketball squad (West Covina, CA), was crushed 70-19 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host Mayfair Monsoons (Lakewood, CA)
With the victory, Mayfair advances its record to 9-4 on the year. The Monsoons travel to La Mirada (La Mirada, CA) to meet the Matadores in a battle on Friday, January 17. The Matadores enter the battle with a record of 0-0.
The Lions now own a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Marshall for a non-league battle on Thursday, January 23. Edgewood will meet a Barristers squad coming off a 56-46 non-league win over Providence (Burbank, CA). The Barristers record now stands at 3-8.
