In Wednesday's non-league contest, the visiting Chesapeake Panthers basketball team scored a big 59-36 triumph over the Greenup County Musketeers.
The Panthers (8-4) will now prepare for their contest against Portsmouth (Portsmouth, OH). The Trojans go into the Ohio Valley contest with a 12-0 record. In their last contest, Portsmouth smashed South Point (South Point, OH), 56-17, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Musketeers confront the St. Joseph Central Irish (Huntington, WV) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 17. Greenup County will attempt to better on its 1-11 season record. The Irish go into the contest with a 3-8 record after their 40-34 non-league win over South Webster (South Webster, OH).
