The Sandia Matadors (Albuquerque, NM) basketball edged the host Albuquerque Bulldogs (Albuquerque, NM), 57-56 in Wednesday's non-league bout.
The Matadors now possess a 4-2 record. They play next when they host Albuquerque Academy for a non-league bout on Friday, January 17. Sandia will play a Chargers team coming off a 61-41 non-league win over Sandia Prep (Albuquerque, NM). The Chargers record now stands at 10-2.
With the loss, Albuquerque falls to 5-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Valley (Albuquerque, NM) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 18. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 3-5. Valley lost 68-60 in their recent non-league bout against Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM)
