In Wednesday's league contest, the host Jackson Jaguars basketball team scored a close 50-48 triumph over the Douglass Astros.
The Jaguars (9-1) will now prepare for their contest against Midtown (Atlanta, GA). The Knights go into the contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Midtown nipped Drew Charter (Atlanta, GA), 45-30, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Astros battle the Mays Raiders (Atlanta, GA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 18. Douglass will attempt to better on its 2-5 season record.
