The Covington Lions smashed the visiting Pearl River Rebels soccer team by a tally of 9-2 in Wednesday's non-league game.
Next, the Lions face the Slidell Tigers (Slidell, LA) in a Division I District 4 game, on Friday, January 17. Covington will attempt to advance on its 6-12 season record. The Tigers enter the game with a 2-13 record after their 9-1 league loss to Ponchatoula (Ponchatoula, LA).
