Alabama High School Basketball - Tharptown can't hold off Athens Bible

The Athens Bible Trojans basketball team scored 66 points and held the visiting Tharptown Wildcats to 60 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Monday.
The Trojans now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Whitesburg Christian Academy for a non-league contest on Friday, January 20. Athens Bible will battle a Warriors team coming off a 69-52 league win over Lindsay Lane Christian Academy (Athens, AL). The Warriors record now stands at 15-6.
The Wildcats (1-8) will now prepare for their contest against Mars Hill Bible (Florence, AL). The Panthers enter the 2A Area 16 contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Mars Hill Bible nudged Hatton (Town Creek, AL), 77-54, in a league contest.
