California High School Basketball - Taft can't hold off Bishop O'Dowd

The Bishop O'Dowd Dragons basketball team scored 65 points and held the host Taft Toreadors to 62 in the Dragons non-league triumph on Monday.

The Dragons now sport a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Piedmont for a West Alameda County - Foothill contest on Wednesday, January 18. Bishop O'Dowd will battle a Highlanders team coming off a 73-57 non-league loss to Oakland (Oakland, CA). The Highlanders record now stands at 12-4.

The Toreadors (10-9) will now prepare for their contest against Cleveland (Reseda, CA). The Cavaliers enter the West Valley contest with a 7-12 record. In their last contest, Cleveland was nudged by Thousand Oaks (Thousand Oaks, CA), 82-61, in a non-league contest.
