Blaine Borderites (Blaine, WA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Mt. Baker Mountaineers (Deming, WA), 90-49 in a league bout.

With the victory, Blaine upgrades its record to 11-2 on the campaign. The Borderites host Burlington-Edison (Burlington, WA) to play the Tigers in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest bout on Friday, January 20. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 4-9. Burlington-Edison lost 61-51 in their recent league bout against Lynden (Lynden, WA)

Next up, the Mountaineers play the Nooksack Valley Pioneers (Everson, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest bout, on Thursday, January 19. Mt. Baker will attempt to upgrade on its 2-10 season record. The Pioneers come into the bout with a 6-7 record after their 68-50 league loss to Meridian (Bellingham, WA).
