Illinois High School Basketball - Central tipped by Lyons

In Monday's non-league match, the visiting Lyons Lions basketball team scored a tight 60-57 triumph over the Central Rockets.

In their next game, the Lions meet the Hinsdale Central Red Devils (Hinsdale, IL) in a West Suburban - Silver match, on Friday, January 20. Lyons will attempt to move on its 17-2 season record. The Red Devils enter the match with a 17-3 record after their 53-39 league win over Glenbard West (Glen Ellyn, IL).

With the defeat, Central moves to 16-4 on the year. The Rockets travel to Crystal Lake South (Crystal Lake, IL) to meet the Gators in a Fox Valley match on Tuesday, January 17. The Gators enter the match with a record of 16-4. Crystal Lake South won 62-45 in their recent non-league match against Wheeling (Wheeling, IL)
