Georgetown Royals (Georgetown, MA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Newburyport Clippers (Newburyport, MA), 73-61 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Georgetown upgrades its record to 7-2 on the season. The Royals host Rockport (Rockport, MA) to play the Vikings in a Cape Ann - Small bout on Friday, January 20. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 3-7. Rockport lost 57-44 in their recent league bout against Ipswich (Ipswich, MA)

Next up, the Clippers play the North Andover Scarlet Knights (North Andover, MA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 20. Newburyport will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Scarlet Knights go into the bout with a 5-5 record after their 64-41 league loss to Central Catholic (Lawrence, MA).
