North Reading Hornets (North Reading, MA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Hamilton-Wenham Regional Generals (South Hamilton, MA), 67-44 in a league bout.

With the victory, North Reading upgrades its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Lynnfield (Lynnfield, MA) to play the Pioneers in a Cape Ann - Large bout on Friday, January 20. The Pioneers come into the bout with a record of 7-3. Lynnfield won 72-46 in their recent non-league bout against Amesbury (Amesbury, MA)

Next up, the Generals play the Manchester Essex Hornets (Manchester, MA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 20. Hamilton-Wenham Regional will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Hornets come into the bout with a 9-1 record after their 64-51 non-league win over Triton Regional (Byfield, MA).
