The Opelika Bulldogs (Opelika, AL) basketball felled the host LaFayette Bulldogs (LaFayette, AL), 65-55 in Monday's non-league test.
The Bulldogs (7-8) will now prepare for their test against Smiths Station (Smiths, AL). The Panthers go into the 7A Area 4 test with a 6-10 record. In their last test, Smiths Station was beaten by Auburn (Auburn, AL), 72-64, in a league test.
The Bulldogs now own a 13-5 record. They play next when they travel to Reeltown for a 2A Area 6 test on Tuesday, January 17. LaFayette will encounter a Rebels squad coming off a 53-42 league loss to Lanett (Lanett, AL). The Rebels record now stands at 2-9.
