The Valdosta Wildcats basketball team (Valdosta, GA), was nudged 57-51 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Monroe Golden Tornadoes (Albany, GA)

The Golden Tornadoes now possess a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cairo for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 17. Monroe will battle a Syrupmakers team coming off a 61-52 league loss to Shaw (Columbus, GA). The Syrupmakers record now stands at 8-6.

The Wildcats (10-8) will now prepare for their battle against Camden County (Kingsland, GA). The Wildcats come into the AAAAAAA Region 1 battle with a 12-7 record. In their last battle, Camden County edged Richmond Hill (Richmond Hill, GA), 56-46, in a league battle.
