Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the North Saxons (Torrance, CA) and the host Servite Friars (Anaheim, CA), saw North's basketball squad hold off Servite by a tally of 47-40.

With the victory, North improves its record to 17-4 on the campaign. The Saxons travel to El Segundo (El Segundo, CA) to confront the Eagles in a Pioneer challenge on Wednesday, January 18. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 7-15. El Segundo won 26-22 in their recent non-league battle against Sotomayor (Los Angeles, CA)

The Friars (12-9) will now prepare for their battle against Mater Dei (Santa Ana, CA). The Monarchs come into the Trinity battle with a 15-5 record. In their last battle, Mater Dei edged San Juan Hills (San Juan Capistrano, CA), 63-52, in a non-league battle.
