Romulus Eagles (Romulus, MI) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting South Lake Cavaliers (St. Clair Shores, MI), 79-59 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Romulus upgrades its record to 8-1 on the season. The Eagles host Redford Union (Redford, MI) to play the Panthers in a Western Wayne bout on Friday, January 20. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 6-7. Redford Union won 57-33 in their recent league bout against Crestwood (Dearborn Heights, MI)

Next up, the Cavaliers play the Fitzgerald Spartans (Warren, MI) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 18. South Lake will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 2-8 record after their 48-29 non-league win over Eastpointe (Eastpointe, MI).
