The York Falcons basketball team (Yorktown, VA), was nudged 56-49 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Walsingham Academy Trojans (Williamsburg, VA)

The Trojans now sport a 10-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nansemond-Suffolk Academy for a Tidewater Independent battle on Tuesday, January 17. Walsingham Academy will battle a Saints team coming off a 66-54 non-league loss to Life Christian Academy (Chester, VA). The Saints record now stands at 4-12.

The Falcons (7-6) will now prepare for their battle against New Kent (New Kent, VA). The Trojans come into the Bay Rivers battle with a 11-4 record. In their last battle, New Kent edged Tabb (Yorktown, VA), 72-30, in a league battle.
